1. System requirements and first use
PassMyPic supports compatible iPhone and iPad devices running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. Core photo processing works locally and does not require an account.
- Open PassMyPic and choose a photo from Photos or Files. For batch mode, select 2–10 images.
- Select a common file-size target or enter the recipient’s maximum size.
- Add format, exact/minimum/maximum dimensions, or aspect-ratio requirements if needed.
- Optionally paste an English requirement or scan an English requirement screenshot for on-device recognition.
- Review crop and transparency choices, then prepare the file.
- Check the technical results and share or save the finished file.
2. Supported features
- Target file sizes including common 240 KB, 500 KB, and 1 MB presets, plus custom limits.
- JPEG, PNG, and HEIC output.
- Exact, minimum, and maximum pixel dimensions.
- Aspect-ratio checking and optional center cropping.
- Location metadata removal, enabled by default.
- Local English requirement recognition using Apple Vision.
- Saved reusable rules that do not contain your photos or OCR text.
- Batch preparation of 2–10 selected images.
3. Understanding “Upload Ready”
“Upload Ready” means the output passed the technical checks shown by PassMyPic. It is not approval by the destination. Always compare the final image with the recipient’s current official instructions and inspect the crop, clarity, color, background, and subject placement.
4. Data, backup, migration, and deletion
Photos, OCR, and image processing remain on your device. PassMyPic does not provide an account, developer cloud backup, iCloud sync, or CloudKit sync.
- Saved rules: delete individual rules from the saved-rules area. There is no automatic rule migration between devices.
- Temporary files: the App clears workflow files when you start over or replace the workflow. Files already saved or shared are controlled by their destination.
- All local App data: delete PassMyPic from the device. This does not delete output copies that you previously saved to Photos, Files, or another service.
- Pro purchase: the entitlement is managed by Apple and may be restored using the same eligible Apple ID.
5. Free exports and PassMyPic Pro
PassMyPic includes three free final-file exports in total. Each file shared from a batch counts separately. PassMyPic Pro Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase with no automatic renewal. Family Sharing is available subject to Apple’s eligibility rules.
Restore a purchase
- Confirm the device is signed into the Apple ID that made or shares the purchase.
- Open PassMyPic Settings.
- Select Restore Purchases and wait for Apple’s response.
If Apple reports no purchase, check your App Store purchase history and Family Sharing status. For billing or refund requests, use Apple’s official purchase-support process.
6. Troubleshooting
The result is still larger than the target
Confirm that the target is entered in the intended KB/MB unit. PNG may remain large for photographic content; try JPEG or HEIC if the recipient accepts it. Very strict dimensions, transparency, or quality needs can prevent a smaller acceptable result.
The photo looks cropped incorrectly
An exact aspect ratio may require center cropping. Return to the rule, verify the ratio, and review the crop confirmation before processing. If the recipient allows it, remove the aspect-ratio requirement to preserve the full frame.
JPEG asks for a background color
JPEG cannot preserve transparent pixels. Choose a background color, or select PNG/HEIC when the recipient accepts transparency.
Requirement scanning missed or misread text
The scanner currently recognizes English requirements. Use a clear screenshot with readable text, then review every extracted value. You can always enter the requirement manually.
A website still rejects the file
Check the destination’s latest rules for filename, color, visual composition, background, subject placement, hidden metadata, or upload-session restrictions that PassMyPic may not test. “Upload Ready” is a technical aid, not a recipient guarantee.
The purchase price or product is unavailable
Check the internet connection, App Store availability, and Apple ID purchase settings, then reopen the purchase screen. The actual regional price is provided by Apple.
